Ok so the room was pretty good, good shower, bed a bit soft but ok for one night.
Now the food....... so disappointed! After a long day on the road I was looking forward to a nice steak, I ordered the prime rib eye for $36 thinking it would be great.... nope... The steak was over cooked and not seasoned, the meat was tasteless and not fresh, the veggies were cheap frozen ones, the mash was lumpy, the gravy was from a packet ....... the coleslaw was just bizarre.... I dont know what say apart from I should of gone to the pub ...or even maccas. Stay here by all means but stay away from the food!

After a 15 hour drive we were looking forward to a good nights sleep in a clean, quiet room. We should've known something was wrong when the room we were given had all the doors and windows open. We were so tired and exhausted we just closed all the windows and doors and went to bed.

About 30 minutes later the overpowering stench of dog urine was everywhere. It was late, we were so tired so we tried to ignore it. The mini bar fridge then got really noisy so we had to turn it off. It then started dripping, so we had to put a towel in there to block the sound. Then all the flies and mosquitoes that were let in by the open door kept buzzing around us. Had the WORST night sleep I have ever experienced in a hotel. Woke up incredibly tired, exhausted and ill from breathing in dog urine all night. Had a shower in the smallest bathroom ever, which still had hair from the previous occupants on the floor which was a nice touch. The free breakfast is not even worth mentioning.

Spoke to the night manager who was apologetic and said the previous occupants dog peed on the carpets and they were going to clean the carpets (they need to be ripped out and burnt!). She said to email the owners of any complaints or refunds. We emailed the owners and they basically said it was our fault that we accepted the dog-piss room in the first place. They refused to refund any money and laid all the blame on us, as we chose to stay there. The fact they admit that they offer dog-piss rooms to customers is mind boggling!.

DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!!!!

Room tip: Any room here is guaranteed to be awful

Unauthorised charges- poor communication by management

Poor hygiene-found crumbs in the beds and the room stank so bad we had to leave early. All our possessions needed washing!

Noise- air fresher sprayed all night, loud fridge and heater

Beds are uncomfortable.

Never stay here!

Overnight stop at Goulburn on way to Albury NSW. I stopped at the Lilac City Motor in as it advertised a good price and good reviews. I was not disappointed. Checkin easy, bed great, and the Steakhouse restaurant food excellent. Happy Happy

Room tip: Whilst I was in room 3 for the night It was still quiet
