Mayfield is set in beautiful countryside outside Orange. The cottage is the settlement of Sir Thomas Icely in 17-something (see history on the wall). The decor is elegant and the cottage is finished in natural colours and white. Breakfast food (including farm fresh eggs) and fruit is provided. We even scored a free lift into town. Great visit.

We loved staying at Rose Cottage. So pretty and cosy and clean. Our kids loved collecting the eggs and chasing the guinea fowl and peacocks. Like being in an English garden. Wonderful! The cottage was warm and beautifully decorated . It was bright and sunny . We only had one night but wished we had longer. Our 3 kids ran outside like it was their home and The owners were so kind and didn't seem to mind! We had warm eggs fresh from the chicken for breakfast!! 10 mins drive to town for dinner. Easy.

We loved Mayfield wines! Lovely wines, personal service & stunning setting! So cute & romantic! Loved the reds & whites - our faves were the merlot & reisling. Definitely recommended & the lake is so pretty on the way in! Love it!

Stayed at the Rose Cottage. Warm and cosy for our late arrival. Very relaxing stay. Beautiful walks in the vineyards, very handy for wine tasting!! Watch out for those geese, gumboots are recommended. The kitchen was well appointed. The cottage is a bit rustic but has everything you need.Great spot for photography. Not far from main street Orange. thoroughly recommended.

Had an excellent stay at Mayfield Vineyard. The grounds are gorgeous and cottages are very homely and welcoming. We stayed in the Rose Cottage and loved the front living room. Recommend that you fully enjoy the estate from the table that overlooks the pond and vineyards!

There is a winery cellar door on the estate plus two others (Moody's and Sassy's) within a very short drive. Looking a bit further, the town centre is 10-15min away as is a number of other great wineries.

Room Tip: Rose Cottage two rooms with a gas powered fire place. This cottage is slightly smaller which makes it more cosy for a single couple staying.
