Large sized room with airconditioning, couch and decent shower.

The rooms closest to the road are noisier and also because they are close to the railway track. Luckily there aren't that many trains passing through the town. Parking is available out the front of the motel units.

For the business traveller there is plenty of room to work, setup your laptop and charge your phone.

Room Tip: rooms furthest from the road are quieter

Very clean floors were immediately apparent, the room was generally clean and well maintained. The downside was the overwhelming smell of cleaning products, which did not dissipate overnight.

The coverlet was not apparently as clean, stained in several places, but the sheets, pillows and linen were perfect. The blankets need replacing now, having worn holes on each one, but they seemed to be clean. We stayed in the family unit, which was roomy and catered to our needs perfectly. However, it wasn't luxurious accommodation by any measure.

The staff we spoke to were very nice and very knowledgeable about the local area. We ate a delicious dinner in less than 2 minutes walk.

Very economical accommodation though, and we would stay here again.

It is a shame I have such a keen eye for detail because this place is getting run down with cracks and holes in the interior walls, stained bed covers, sickening bleach smells, swamp smells in the shower drain and broken laundry dryer. It cost me $8 to dry a small light load of synthetics. They are charging for more than they're offering. The whole town is a bit disappointing. I'm only here because an injury forced me to rest up during my 16,000km solo unaccompanied Lifeline charity walk around Australia. I'm very disappointed

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights (Sat/Sun) while in Bundaberg. We had booked a queen bed room and were checked into room 11 which was down the back on ground level. Parking was free, undercover and right outside our door.
The room was spotless and quite large with everything we possibly needed to make our stay a very comfortable one. Also the bed was great, which helped for a good night's sleep.
Dave and Coral were our hosts, while the owners were away, and they were both very friendly and helpful if anything was needed.
A continental Breakfast - help yourself to juice, cereals and toast, tea and coffee - was included in our room rate and this was adequate. The breakfast room which seated around 16 was also spotless.
I could tell by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the premises that the owners/hosts take a lot of pride in this motel. It is close to cafes/restaurants and a short stroll to the Alexandra Park and Zoo - well worth a look especially if you have children and also a nice walk along the Burnett River. The rum distillery and Bundaberg Barrel were only a short drive.
I would definitely recommend this motel for a great stay while in Bundaberg.

Room Tip: Ask for ground level if stairs are a problem

We booked in for 2 nights and Val (owner) upgraded us to a king room with spa. The room is spacious and well laid out. We are planning on using the spa tonight after our day touring. Continental breakfast is also included in the price. Would recommend it for a stay in Bundaberg
