Cannot fault this place!, accommodation although rated as budget & located on the main Hwy was clean, comfortable & quiet.
Free on-site parking underneath, if you prefer the beach to the motel pool it is just one block over & a flat walk.
Plenty of public transport including the light rail at the door if you don't wish to drive.
The restaurant served awesome authentic Irish tucker, the servings are huge so don't eat breakfast in the morning. The beer was also authentic & ice cold.
The staff were superb, the Irish lasses were the real deal, super friendly & happy to have a chat when time allowed
The restaurant ambiance was sensational with lots of memorabilia all over the walls to look at while waiting for your food.

My first time at the D'Arcy Arms & it didn't disappoint. Amanda & Pam were great at the bar & Shannie was a great server through dinner. The Ocean Trout with roasted potatoes & a mixed salad were perfect. There was also a great musician who got the bar crowd singing along more than once!
If you want a good pub feel D'Arcy Arms is the go! 👍🏽

Hubby and I have visited D'Arcy's Arms a couple of times for drinks. The service and atmosphere are fabulous and the drinks are reasonably priced.

Despite a mishap on our first night of booking - of which we were well and truly compensated for - we had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at the D'Arcy Arms. My daughter and I stayed in a twin share room for 5 nights and were very impressed with the service and location of this budget savvy accomodation. The rooms were clean, neat and the beds comfortable. Despite the busy local traffic, the rooms were quiet and we slept easily. The air conditioning was really welcome, worked well and the shower was of good pressure. The housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient and up for a bit of banter!

We had a voucher to the in house Irish themed restaurant. The menu is pub style and every meal was well cooked and delicious. The wait staff were friendly, vivacious and attentive. We were treated very well.

Management could not have been any more helpful. My teenage daughter loved the free wifi - although access to it was better outside on the balcony, I managed well enough inside our room. Location was great - a short walk to the tram stop and beach. The lock up car park was secure and spacious.

As this was not a 'family holiday' as such, I wanted a budget accomodation that was clean and comfortable. I got that and more. Thank you to the staff - you make the D'Arcy Arms a special place to stay.

We went to the restaurant for dinner.
Quaint atmosphere. Staff were lovely.
We started with a marinated chicken wings special which were horrible. They had hardly any sauce on them. Pretty plain and uninspired.
I asked for the sausages and mash and were told they were out. Only to see later that a table that ordered after us got the sausages and mash.
The main meals were a pretty good size. marinated had the fish and chips and they tasted horrible. I don't think the oil had been changed in a while.
