We stayed for two nights in this lovely B & B high on a hill. Our room gave us views over Launceston. David suggested the pub on the next corner for dinner which was very economical for travellers who need to eat out. The breakfast was really enjoyable around a big kitchen table sometimes with other guests and David always full of information and discussing world events. Fiona makes the best blackberry jam. It wasn't until we were over half way to Hobart that my husband realised he had left his wallet behind and a quick phone call located it. David was extremely accommodating and took it to the post office that day to post it by Express post to our next accommodation in Hobart. A really lovely stay

Very comfortable bed and breakfast located within walking distance of many eateries and some of Launceston's top attractions. The breakfast cooked by George, the host sets you up for the day and there is cereal, fruit and toast if you would prefer. The bed was very comfortable and there are tea making facilities in the room with a shared fridge in the hallway. Free on site parking and free Wi-Fi make this a great stay.

I stayed at Hi George B&B for three nights and highly recommend it. The location is excellent, being within a block of the centre of the city. It is quiet, the room is well-equipped and extremely clean. The owners are lovely, very friendly and interested in their guests. Breakfast was good, especially having fresh fruit. I felt very safe here and would come back when next in Launceston

The cost is moderate and the location convenient. The room is adequately sized, the bed comfortable, the TV and wifi work, and the bathroom is very clean. As a tip to the budget price, there's no room fridge (there's a communal one outside the room). One bonus was the off-street parking.

Breakfast is a little unusual as it's taken in the generous kitchen/dining space of the owners' unit at the back of the hotel. A range of cereals and some fruit and yoghurt, which you have while chatting to David (a.k.a. George) as he cooks your breakfast of choice on the kitchen hob - and after 20 years in the business he knows how to get eggs just right!

David was also very helpful with odd details such as printing boarding passes after online check-in, and getting an airport taxi. Very much recommended.

Room Tip: We had a room at the front. Street noise was high by day, but quiet by night, and we slept very well in the end.
