I really enjoyed my stay at this charming B&B - it's clean and nicely styled, with very friendly proprietors. Breakfast was delicious - highly recommend the homemade blackberry jam. Hi George is very central to Launceston city and great cafes and restaurants, and has convenient car parking.

I will definitely stay there again.

We have nothing but praise for Hi George. In every way it meets your requirements, plus more. Situated close to the CBD, Hi George's location makes it ideal for getting around in the city without a car. The tastefully renovated room is a delight to come home to. And not only do you get a genuine cooked breakfast but David's home made shortbread biscuits top off the experience.

I booked one night at this B&B via Wotif before my husband and I where due to flight out of Tassie. It was the first time we stayed at a B&B before and we found the place quiet lovely. This colonial looking house was nicely refurbished by the owners. We were greeted with a warm welcome by a friendly gentlemen named George (hence the name Hi George) who runs the place with his wife Fiona and we are also greeted by a welcoming bark from their sausage dog Poppy. They live on site in a separate building from the rooms and they’re hospitality is fantastic and they love to have a chat.

The room we stayed in was on the ground floor, it was clean and appropriately furnished with modern and tasteful décor. The queen bed was comfortable with its electric blankets; the room was equipped with a TV, coffee and tea making facilities, a heater that warms the room up quickly and its own clean bathroom. The ceiling of our room must be thin as we could hear the heavy foot steps of the guest staying in the above room, it was quiet loud it felt like they were going to fall through the ceiling. Off street parking is available behind the building.

This B&B is found on York St and only a 5-10 min walk to Brisbane St Mall. There is a great Spanish restaurant called Toro’s on York St just down the road, it has great Tapas.
Hi George provides continental and freshly cooked breakfast everyday and you have chance to have a good old chat with the other guests around the brekkie table. Hi George is a lovely B&B and I would recommend it.

Hi George is comfortable and welcoming, its great location is quiet yet an easy walk into the city. Good food - unique muesli and blackberry jam. David and Fiona are friendly and knowledgeable hosts. I am a regular traveller to Launceston, and this is the best place I have found to stay in Launceston.
