It's good to see another above average regional restaurant open up in Lakes Entrance, so they deserve to do well. The menu is standard French bistro fare - think French onion soup, beef bourguignon and Creme Brulee - done well, and reasonably priced. As an added bonus, they offer BYO wine ($5 a bottle).

Wow! What a surprise to find genuine French cuisine in the fishing village of Lakes Entrance.The owner chef, his son(also a chef) and his wife as the waitress come maitre' made as feel very welcome.
The service was just right and timely. The resturant was half full but the patrons were certainly enjoying their meals.
Now the food was superb.The snails for entree are not to be missed. Outstanding
The veal was perfect and had very good sides. The seafood bouillabaisse was the stand out dish and it did not disappoint.
The decor could be a little warmer, but I guess that's what a French bistro should look like.
Little things like candles on the table,tablecloths and some lovely fresh bread would have been a nice touch.

Don't know whats more surprising - the fact that's there's now a french restaurant in Lakes Entrance or that the food is very good and well priced.

Thought we'd give every thing a test so splashed out with entrees, mains and deserts.

A range of entrees - Duck terrine was great, panfried scallops with white wine and cream was delicious.

Mains including melt in the mouth Boeuf Bourguignon followed by deserts including Creme Caramel and a fantastic Lemon Meringue tart.

Entrees under $15, mains generally around $25 - $30, deserts $15

All up 4 people - 2 entrees, 4 mains (two entree sized panfried scallops 2 boeuf bourguignons) 4 deserts - $190
