As locals we tend to have a preferred place to take visiting friends/family who appreciate good food and Froggy's for us is one of our favourites. Immersed in French inspired decor while eating authentic french cuisine, cooked and served to you by your French hosts who are only too happy to encourage you to speak in french if you are so inclined, with french music (not too loud) playing in the background. Short of being in France how much more French can this experience be. Having tried several of the meals on their menu I have to admit my favourite is the boeuf bourguignon although by the end of writing this review it could well have changed to the bouillabaisse.
This is a BYO restaurant but don't be alarmed as directly across the road is the supermarket Foodworks, who offer a very good selection of alcohol /non alcohol beverages of choice.
The hardest decision I always have to make when dining here is whether to have an entree and main, or a main and dessert. Pretty hard pass up the french onion soup for an entree, but then again there's the creme brûlée for dessert. Oh well for us there's always a next time. Thank you Froggy's for another excellent meal with family and thoroughly enjoyed by all. For those looking to have the same experience "Bon appetit"

We love traditional French food and to find Froggy's at Lakes Entrance seemed like the perfect treat. Unfortunately, the food was rather average and very over-priced. While the owners attentiveness made up for a small part of this it would be fair to say we left $150 poorer and somewhat resentful. Lakes Entrance has other options and so our recommendation is to try the alternatives. If you have children or teenagers this is NOT the place for you!

A definite visit for visitors to lakes entrance. Authentic French bistro style, easy to have entree and main - not too large ( although we did share the entree) delicious duck and rosemary terrine , followed by fillet steak for me and rabbit dijonnaise for partner. Good coffee to follow. Lovely hosts, really care for food and customer. Great regional food.

Had a three course meal with a friend and our two kids last night and tried many dishes on the menu and we were all happy with everything that came our way. Hard to pick a stand out, maybe the onion soup, bouillabaisse or the mussels, or maybe the poached pears or the crème caramel. Lovely service, the owner/waitress recommended a perfect selection for the kids to share. Couldn't have been happier. Thankyou.

We were recommended Froggy's by our b'n'b hosts. What an absolute treasure! We shared escargot in garlic butter (divine!), buef bourguignon and a veal dish for our mains and finally the creme caramel and creme brûlée for dessert. I ended up asking for a spoon, as I didn't want to leave a drop of the incredible sauce from my veal. We had a lovely dinner, and thoroughly enjoyed chatting to our hosts at the end of our meal. Highly recommend spoiling yourself and visiting Froggy's.
