We found ourselves stopping here due to the cheerful outdoir lighting, verandah dining and local crowd. Inside was just the right warm temperature and large sports bar which opened to a larger dining area. Wooden tables and chairs and a small stage area hung with colorful star shaped pendant lighting gave the room a slightly ranch-like feeling which was welcoming. The bar was well appointed with a selection of local wines which were well described on the wire list allowing me to choose flavours indicative of this region. The beer selection made my man happy and we spent some time choosing our dinner options. I chose the sirloin steak with simple salad and chips and a jus which was totally delicious. The pub also has a Texan Under smoker BBQ which produces pulled pork and beef brisket meats which left their hazy aroma lingering near the impressive set-up. An enjoyable friendly evening with helpful staff and food that complimented the wines.
