Even though the weather was terrible this place made our stay very comfortable. It has everything that we need and lots of room which really helps in bad weather. There is a pub and restaurant about 80 metres away.A large supermarket is within walking distance in good weather. Staff are very helpful. a great place to stay.

Stayed here on the way down the west coast.
Along the main road like so many other motels, clean, comfy and convenient to dining options.
Staff friendly and informative on local area. Their suggestion of a drive north to Pancake rocks etc was appreciated. (Thank you!)
Went to refuel the next morning and received a phone call from them to say we had left a watch behind.. again "Thank you!"
Would stay again

We stayed 2 nights here with 3 families, including 3 young children. From the moment we arrived the owners could not be more helpful with great local advice on attractions and restaurants. They had a good collection of DVDs to borrow for free and the rooms were great. Very very clean, well looked after and well appointed. Overall, we had a great stay. Thank you.

Wonderful night's stay with spa bath and comfortable bed. Self contained cooking facilities in the room and guest laundry was quick and efficient. Ian who checked us in was extremely friendly and helpful with local attractions as well as dinner suggestions. Would stay here again.

We stayed two nights and found the accommodation provided was comfortable and met all our requirements. The owner/manager was very helpful and gave us a couple of suggestions that proved well worth following. We saw the sunset at the nearby breakwater and beach. And we drove north up the coast to Punakaiki to see the Pancake Rocks and associated blowholes. On our second night we decided to cook our own dinner: we used the barbecue to cook our steaks and cooked the rest of our meal in our room's kitchenette.
