We spent one night at the Inn The Bay B&B as part of our four week road trip around New Zealand. Luke and Kylie could not have been more helpful in making sure we were met at the B&B when we arrived, suggesting places to go and places to eat.
The B&B is on the waterfront and it is an easy walk into the town. Very large and comfortable room.
Breakfast was served by Luke's mother and was excellent (try the rhubarb jam) and, to my surprise, we were asked when we would like it - all very accommodating.
Highly recommended.

We stayed at 'Inn the Bay' for one night in July and wish we had planned to stay longer! Kylie met us as we arrived which was a lovely welcome. She was able to recommend places to eat and a few walks that we could go on. The room was amazing, lots of space and a huge bathroom with a walk-in shower. We woke up to a beautiful sun-rise and had a lovely breakfast before going whale watching. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return in the future!

We were in Kaikoura for the whale watch experience, having found the Whaleway Station (seriously) we needed to find accomodation for the night prior to our trip.
We spotted this place and it sort of appealed, so, a knock on the door and we were shown the room etc which was fabulous, mine hosts offered us a welcome coffee in their own apartment while we did the paperwork.
Next morning we had a nice breakfast, we would return here anytime, can recommend.
Hope baby arrives safe!

Room Tip: Sea view right on the bay!

Just stayed here for one night on my way through Kaikoura. Beautifully situated property right on the front. a little way away from the main town - but i take this as a plus - lovely and quiet. very near to dolphin encounter and seal colony. Hosts very helpful and chatty which was lovely as i was travelling alone. Room lovely - very large - more like a mini apartment! had double bed and single, plus sofa and table. good size bathroom and nice big walk in shower (only comment which i forgot to mention at the time is that the clip stopping the shower head dropping is broken so needs replacing) but thats very minor. bed comfy, room had all you need. access to tea/coffee. Lots of local knowledge. Breakfast is continental, and i needed an early breakfast which was no problem to accomodate. Free wifi (unlimited) is a big plus - you do have to refresh codes every 200MB but its really not an issue. can easily stream on the wifi with no problems. Would highly recommend.

This B&B is directly across the street from the waterfront and about a 7-minute walk from the heart of downtown Kaikoura, so it's very conveniently located. A spacious room, homemade bread at breakfast, and a friendly host added to the charm. Assigned parking directly behind the building.
