Our travel agent booked this place, good choice for our two night stay. Walking distant to just about everything. Room was clean, roomy, we had a unit with a kitchen (by request), wifi was good, did a whale watch while here. The manager has a really nice dog we met while leaving. (always good to get a dog fix)

After saying goodbye to our daughter, we drove through the detour route back to Kaikoura from CHCH.

We booked in at Bela Vista (recommended by the Lobster Inn). We arrived at 11:45 pm very tired and weary, but to a nice comfortable room.

The thing is, I accepted the cost of $230.00 to rest for a short time, but realised later, that I shouldn't have rushed in before committing.

Check your price carefully and find a place that really fits your needs.

Susie.

Room tip: Don't rush your decision, make sure you Tailor your needs to fit the cost of your stay.

Stayed here for one night before our whale watch tour. Great location, very clean, free wifi. Kaikoura was cold the night we got there so we did not have the issue of lack of air con as some other posts have mentioned. Would stay again!

Clean and comfortable, this motel is well placed to walk down the hill into Kaikoura. The view of snow-capped mountains from the landing outside our room was stunning and although the motel is situated on a main road we weren't aware of traffic noise. Just one thing jarred for us ad that was when we wanted to use the motel's picnic table. The ground surrounding the table was surrounded by dog muck which was a pity as it completely put us off eating there on a lovely day.
