Firstly this venue is not for us we've discovered. We called in for a drink - haven't been there before but have often wanted to try it. It's premises are noisy with music that's too loud and the inside area tends to echo. Outside tables are in real need of some shade cloth or sun umbrellas as they're very exposed to direct sunlight which can be a problem for some. The food we saw (we didn't buy any) looked good but appears to be very much inclined towards fried food and burgers - my wife is gluten intolerant so wouldn't have had a lot of choices
Secondly- the staff are excellent - they're friendly, smile and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Happy to give us a try of some of the product - there's a reasonable selection of beers and they have cider and wine as well plus soft drinks.
So overall, the place is very welcoming from a staff point of view, but the noise was off-putting from our viewpoint( I have some hearing loss and the background noise meant we decided to sit outside in the hot sun). Not for us but the other people there were enjoying themselves - noted they were young to middle-aged whereas we are considerably older - maybe it's an age thing?
But again the staff were great and I would recommend for those liking the vibe of a casual, loud, and lots of options for food and beers

Out for a walk and a tasty local brew, a short walk from home, this brew bar is small but all quality. A mix of their own and other NZ craft beers, with a small but excellent food selection that sits very well along side the beer. I had a mushroom and halloumi burger with my beers then took home a juicy chicken burger and a bacon and venison burger for the folks at home

A short menu but well executed and great to be able to pick from some really nice locally brewed beers

My friends and I love to pop here after work for a drink. The vibe is casual and laid back. Its a great spot with plenty of parking and off the main roads. The beers on tap change frequently and are very good - I miss them when they finish the brew.
Can recommend the tatter tots from Carr's Kitchen, its a favourite with us.

The girls stopped in for a end of week brew at Brave Brewing. We weren’t disappointed! A modern funky vibe with excellent craft beers. We didn’t have anything to eat but certainly will next time we go. If you enjoy your craft beers then make sure you stop in to sample some of Hawkes Bays finest!
