Location is nice. Menu is limited. Breakfast portions are small and expensive for what you get. Had to wait and ask three times for a refill in coffee. Staff seem to mull about at the back talking amongst themselves not worried about diners. Dinner was too salty but you get a big portion. Bring bug spray after dark - you will get eaten alive by fire ants as they don't clean up food that has fallen on the floor. You will also be approached for a time share tour and asked for money which turns out to be a very big scam. Worst place we ate in three trips to CR.

We saw spider monkeys in the entry courtyard. The actual restaurant has a lovely view of the water. The sea bass was delicious. Friendly atmosphere

The staff moved our table so we could be more comfortable. The special seafood of the night was Sea Bass. It was very light and flavorful. The red snapper was grilled and obviously very fresh. We loved the food and the atmosphere. A great seafood restaurant by the water! A mariachi band came by adding to the ambiance. They serve no dessert.

We had a really good paella to share between two but could have stretched to a third. Fresh, full of taste and a great Peruvian ceviche (larger chunks). Delicious drinks as well. It was a nice change from Costa Rican food every day, though a bit pricey, but what no more so than very where else on the beach. Also a great place to sit and watch the sunset... No 5 star because it is a little rinky, and there is some slightly better food down the road in Playa Hermosa, but for Playa Coco this gets top marks.
