Our car had broken down on the way to Mount Dare with the road impassable due to rain we got towed to Kulgera pub and meet the nicest people.
We got a cabin while we figured out what we were going to do and had found out the owner is a tow truck driver and a mechanic.
Unfortunately he didn't have time to fits us in but got us in touch with someone from Alice to help, so we organised through NRMA for him to get the job and headed towards Alice, Chris (owner) and Rob (an employee from the pub) were staying at Alice overnight for a concert and because we had nothing to do and our friends back at the pub some 200km away invited us to join them for the night, my partner had a great night with the boys drinking and carrying on.
The guys at the pub are true blue AUSSIE and will help you out if you need it, not only are they good blokes but are great for a laugh as long as you don't get offended by our AUSSIE humour.
The accomodation is clean and has a range to choose from, communally showers and toilets are clean and maintained, they have a great menu at the pub (food tasted great) so if don't stay the night stop in for lunch or dinner or even a cold beer.
We were amazed the find out the Rob was one for those crazies the WALKED around OZ!

Great place to camp, clean bathrooms and good food at the pub. Could do with a camp kitchen and a BBQ. Big views of the sky with amazingly bright stars. Locals seem to buying alcohol at the bar maybe a problem.

Kulgera Roadhouse was our choice of stopover both on our way to and from Uluru. Great price for a powered site, clean amenities and fantastic meals in the hotel made this an easy choice. Lovely people there and a nice feel to the place. Will be back someday.

We had a great time when we stopped here over night. We had booked the deluxe room with an unsuite , but also got a toaster a kettle and big fridge. The bar and restaurant were great but the thing I loved the most was the outside area. They had big barrels with fires, great view of the stars and the night stars.

Room Tip: Get an ensuite room with an ensuite
