Last dined here in 2015 when our experience then was less than enjoyable. As a guest we returned for Sunday lunch recently.
Firstly the view remains extraordinary on a fine day which it was. All dishes served at our table were delicious and tasty. Meals are well-plated and all ingredients are fresh. Servings are not overly generous.
The meals we all enjoyed included the pasta with crab (especially scrumptious), oysters, scallops, grilled barramundi, pork belly, lamb, wagyu steak and bugs.
Servings of vegetables were also ordered.
One could not fault the meals one iota however, and here we come to my bugbear -- the cost of the food. With entrees around $27 each and mains $48 each are these prices considered reasonable and fair - incidentally drinks are also fairly well marked-up. Oysters at $27 for half a dozen and two bugs at $56 is way past reasonable. Prices generally are up there with those charged in major capital cities of the world.
Yes I understand the view is terrific and rent is probably high but one would only consider eating here on exceptionally special occasions. As a local this is definately not your regular eatery.
Staff were excellent and were thoroughly professional and helpful.
Would I go again? Probably as a guest!
