Dinner with friends last night, called during the day to book. All tables occupied and interior had a great feel. Pork belly was delicious, others loved everything they had. Menu for wine by the glass. For a bottle, you choose your own at takeaway price and $15 is added. A bit weird when the staff don’t actually do anything. Not cheap, but would certainly go again. Highly recommended..

It was a first visit to Port Fairy and worth the drive. Gluten free options are not immediately evident. Wine by the glass is limited. Wait staff were rushed, restaurant busy. Food was secondary to the wine experience.

The first thing we liked about this restaurant was it was bright open and clean! The wait staff were interested in serving us and clearlt explained the menu, specials etc as well as the interesting way to select the wine for the night. The entrees were excellent - oysters freshly shucked! The lamb shoulder roast was beautifully cooked and we really enjoyed it. The only thing that was not to our liking was that there vegetables were not offered with the meat - a pet hate of mine. The potatoes were however great. Sweets and a desert wine topped off an excellent meal

The decor and atmosphere was excellent and expectations were high but the food fell short of what could and should have been delivered at this good restaurant that could be by far the best in Port Fairy. So too did the service in some ways although the servers were pleasant they made no attempt to explain the dish . The Serano ham was a mess of small pieces or ripped up ham that was poorly presented. It could have been good and it should have been better.

Definitely recommend it.
There is a private wine room off to the right where we sat.It's also a shop for wine, so there was the occasional visitor coming through.
