We have just returned from a 3 night stay in Burn Cottage and found the experience to be peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is nicely decorated, a lot of thought has went into this as is has everything needed for a short or long stay, including a washing machine and log stove. Bedding and towels are provided, but suggest taking a couple of your own towels just in case. In the evenings, you can either sit outside, weather permitting or watch TV. There is limited reception but DVD's; boardgames and a hi-fi are provided. The views are lovely and there is a degree of seclusion, which makes it ideal for a couples' getaway. It is situated about 7 miles from Aberfeldy, where you can do grocery shopping and it's not far from Pitlochry and Aviemore for days out.
We were a disappointed there was no wi-fi/internet access or mobile service, but a phone was provided (calls to be paid for). The bed was also not to our liking as it was really soft (each to their own) and the track up to the cottage was pretty bumpy and played havoc with the cars' suspension.
The cottage looks exactly as it does on the photos and if you are looking for a quiet getaway this is the place for you.
