Came here for lunch on a visit to Cuenca. It's right at the top looking down on the Parador but worth the climb. We hadn't booked but they found us a table for two despite being very busy.

The decor is very simple and fresh and the staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered a starter each - the fried cheese and the squid. Both of which were delicious (the cheese was incredibly light and accompanied by a lovely green pepper jam) but huge and more like mains. By that time it was too late to change our order of a rice dish to share. Had we known we would have just ordered the one dish each, especially as they provided half a loaf of bread each. The rice was good but the starters were really the best element.

Very reasonably priced. With two starters, a rice to share and soft drinks it came to about €45.

Definitely worth a visit.

We visited for lunch. The restaurant is modern, clean, and bright. The food was excellent - imaginative, well presented and very flavourful. The staff could have been more pleasant, but we enjoyed our lunch very much.

What a brilliant place. Made a reservation for tonight - got the best table in the house (view over Cuenca) got a wonderful waitress (Sol) and the most amazing food.
They spoke no English but with Sols patience and sunny smile we got there. The starter was huge - croquetas, so we shared. Then I had the cod in orange sauce and my husband had suckling pig, followed by chocolate tart and brownie, coffee, cognac. Add in two bottles of water, bottle of wine and beer - a bargain at €80.
Very highly recommended

We arrived 1pm too early for lunch but were made to feel welcomed by the waiter. We ordered a bottle of white wine at random and was informed that it is semisweet. The waiter suggested a La Mancha dry white Anil which was great. We had roasted suckling lamb and squid ink paella which were excellent. I carelessly dropped some rice on my pants and the waiter quickly came to rescue. We had a great time there. Wish we had 2 stomachs for more food and wine.

Based on the previous review we booked to come here and not disappointed. Each variety had a very distinctive flavour. Highly recommend the Arroz Boletus Y Bacalau. Great local wine, waiter with character and a fantastic view - what more could we ask for?
