Mudbrick restaurant has to be one of the most picturesque places to eat in the world. What a credit to the owners and their wonderful staff from the chef, the kitchen staff and waiting staff to the gardener carefully tending the herb garden. I couldn't have been happier sipping my viognier grown right there on the estate, whilst drinking in the sunshine and eating superb line-caught fish. Whatever the concoction they serve with the warm bread rolls is worth the visit alone. Something about olive oil whipped with butter and puffed rice? I don't know what it was, but I ate every molecule. I went for the 3 course menu, with NZ salmon starter, local fish main and stunning chocolate desert. Little palate-cleansing extras kept appearing, and I just blissed my way through the afternoon. Worth a trip to NZ just to experience this.

Food here is amazing. Great way to end a trip to waiheke island. The view was amazing. We would recommend this to anyone going to Waiheke.

Spectacular view of the island while eating some very nice food. The lamb was heavenly and the service was exceptional.
The fries were also noteworthy.
Would definitely recommend this place when visiting Waiheke, but so do a lot of other people so best to book beforehand to avoid disappointment!

Pretty and busy, with nice terrace garden and spectacular views across the water all the way to Auckland. Close to the ferry terminal.
We arrived here at the end of our trip, on the way back to the ferry. We did the winery tour by ‘Hop on Hop Off Tour Bus’ and we had our ‘very late’ lunch here in the bistro (the restaurant was close for some special event). Lovely stuff.
The slow cooked lamb shoulder was absolutely delicious and so was the fish.
And the Chardonnay we choose to pair our meal with - absolutely fabulous.

A glass of sav with sunset views over the bay, followed by a perfect 3 course meal to die for! Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and the great customer service from our waiter Kim.
