“Wonderful . . . again!”
Reviewed 13 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

This is the second time we stayed at Le Clos Rigaux and again, it was terrific. The house meets all of our needs perfectly. Comfortable, relaxed and ideallylocated in the heart of Champagne. Our host, Isabelle, is always accommodating, helpful and goes out of her way to make your stay easy. Look forward to returning in the future.

“AMAZING HOME! Isabelle is an amazing host!”
Reviewed 4 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Just a fantastic home. Beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. Centrally located to see all of the Champagne region. Plenty of parking on site. Isabelle, the owner and our host is a lovely woman. We had to leave 2 days early as I had a meeting in Paris and without asking she refunded me for those days. I was just floored! Could not give this little home a higher recommendation.

“Beautiful house”
Reviewed 8 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A wonderful stay in a beautiful house in a lovely area of France. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. The garden is definitely a bonus with shaded areas when it is really hot and lovely evening sun to accompany a meal outside. Local shops supply everything that you need, especially fresh bread and patisserie! Isabelle is on hand to answer any questions and is a very hospitable host. Thank you

“Absolutely beautiful French home!”

We had a fabulous holiday in Isabelle's beautiful house. We were a family party of 6 adults and 1 child (with an additional 2 family members staying in Isabelle's lovely studio apartment, which is just across the gravel courtyard). The house is extremely well appointed and we were all impressed with the size and decor of each of the rooms, the showers, the very comfortable beds, quality of the bedding and towels and the garden. The house was plenty big enough for us all to relax, eat altogether, play games or do our own things and we enjoyed croquet and a bbq in the garden. This has to be the cleanest house I have ever stayed in and Isabelle made us feel most welcome, greeting us on arrival to show us round and leaving a bottle of champagne from her son's vineyard chilled in the fridge for us to enjoy. The house is well situated to explore the local area, including Dormans itself and very easy to find and get to from the Eurotunnel, Calais. We visited the Memorial chapel to the Battles of the Marne, in Dormans on a couple of occasions as it was a pleasant walk from the house and so impressive and interesting. We also had a great day trip into Paris whilst we were there. We ate in two fantastic restaurants in the town - La Lombardie, where we enjoyed delicious pizzas and Sylvain Suty on the Market Square where we all had a fantastic meal, my own being the slow roasted lamb. I would certainly recommend these restaurants to future visitors. The bar opposite was also handy and we found the owner to be extremely hospitable, shaking our hands each time we popped in and giving us frequent drinks on the house! All in all this was truly a memorable holiday and we wouldn't hesitate to rebook Isabelle's house should we return to the Champagne region and would highly recommend it to all. Thank you Isabelle!

“A beautiful Gite set in the Champagne region of France”
Reviewed 7 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Just got back from a relaxing 8 nights spent in beautifully maison du Clos Rigaux. The decor is really as beautiful as the photos....unlike a lot of places where we have booked and stayed. The garden is great to sunbathe and have BBQ s. The owner Isabelle was there to welcome us with a chilled bottle of champagne in the fridge ( from her son's vineyard). She was so helpful when I asked where can I print my boarding pass, she offered to do it and bring it over! It's that personal touch! Dorman is a sleepy little town, great for relaxing and de-stressing...also great for roaming the countryside and visiting vineyards.
