As part of our group journey, we stopped here to wait for our boat. The owner would be the caretaker of part of our luggage during our 3 day stay at Corcovado. We would then return to the restaurant again to catch our bus. On both occasions we ordered something to drink, which was a coffee on our way back. making the coffee was a big challenge for the owner as the machine was not made to cater for a large group. The restaurant itself is nothing really special, although the balcony facing the river does provide a nice view.

The restaurant was recommended by our snorkeling guide. It was down a little road in the back of town. Prices were reasonable and the portions were hugh even by American standards. We were definitely an unusual group, don't think they see many Americans!

Good wifi and friendly staff. Not a bad place to stop if you're waiting for a boat. Drinks were good and a good price. Breakfast pancakes were filling and fluffy but unfortunately didn't come with any fresh fruit.

Most extraordinary negative experience of human behaviour in a long time! We parked our car in front of the restaurant were you can park for free - as told by a waitress of that restaurant. After she found out that we needed to catch our boat and therefore were not planning to have something to eat or drink, she ordered us to remove our car because "it's not safe".

That we found out why: upon our return two days later, one of tires had been punctured and showed clear signs of vandalism. The same waitress happened to be around and was laughing out loud directly at us already when we were nearing our car. Instead of offering some help or whatsoever, she kept laughing. With some help of a friendly man of another restaurant near the dock (Kokopelli) we managed to chance our tire and leave not soon thereafter.

Before we left, we wanted to confront the waitress with the situation and the restaurant's involvement. She probably sensed this, because as soon as we entered the restaurant she hid behind her colleagues and eventually denied everything, but from the initial 'warning' to the laughing and this 'denial', the signs of guilt on her face were very very clear.

If innocent travellers are given such a treatment, it tells much the philosophy of this place.

The service was beyond poor, there were only four people in the restaurant and it took 45minutes to get our food. The guac was good with fresh chips and spaghetti carbonara was tasty. We got the feeling that they rather dislike the tourists that support their town. The setting was magical right beside the Sierpe River and it would have been nice to hear the parrots, toucans, macaws and other jungle sounds, but we were instead assaulted by the music videos blasting at us. We sat as far from the speakers as possible and we're still unable to talk without raising our voices. With so few choices and most diners being travelers, they know they will always have a steady flow of customers.
