Estela is a little star of a chef-owned restaurant we were delighted to discover on this visit to Rincon. Freshest possible ingredients and the warmest, most welcoming service you could want.
We feasted on a tuna tartare appetizer and two specials: mahi mahi and a big Berkshire pork chop--each cooked to exactly the point of perfection. We'd started our meals with a craft cocktail (mine featured hibiscus and ginger, yum) and so were delighted to discover that the wines available by the glass paired flawlessly with our entrees. Not to be missed: fresh banana cream pie for dessert.
Estela is well worth a small splurge if you're lucky to find yourself in town! Chef Juan Carlos brings a fresh culinary point of view to Rincon. I'd also suggest calling for a reservation because the room is small and I can see the tables filling with smiling diners.
