We were constrained to plan this trip due to last minute cancellation of our ship to Lakshadweep. Was badly cheated by our agent Abdul Hassan of Visit Lakshadweep dot com . Anyway, thank God we could threaten him about filing police case and got our advance back.

This post is about Sea Lagoon Health Resort and we enjoyed every moment at this great property. An untouched place for absolute quality time with wife and kids (age 16 and 10). A day prior to check in, we got a call seeking confirmation of our arrival time. Liked the way the front office people spoke. Very professional.

Stayed here from 22 to 24 Jan 2018. The property is almost 40 minutes drive from Kochi town. Went by an Ola. Check-in was super fast and smooth. Decent welcome.
Its a small compact property with rooms on two sides of their pool (they have tried and successfully achieved infinity-pool impression). On east side of the property is backwaters (hotel has their own pedal boats and lend it for free) and on west side (after crossing the main road) is their sea side restaurant and sea.

Great things : Very well designed hotel, well maintained, wonderful staff (particular mention of Mr Abby - restaurant manager), good food, good price, wonderful rooms, great washrooms and almost private beach. You can enjoy changing colours of back water and their pool due to sunlight. See our photos clicked from my average quality mobile. Drinks are cheap. No need to venture out for other restaurants. We tried and we did not like outside food. Though there is one sea-side restaurant called 'Chilly Point' - hardly 50m north of hotel and there fast food was good. Beach is clean. We had fun.

OK points: Average buffet breakfast (but please note the amount you are being charged). Food is average. Sea side restaurant's fresh catch (I dont think they were fresh catch - but tasted good)

Something we did not like much : Though not a major issue but the hotel has an extension which they call sea side restaurant. Hence, when you come out of sea, you need to cross this sea side restaurant (active only during evenings) then the road and thereafter enter main property to go to your rooms. Secondly, wifi connectivity in rooms is weak. Wifi in other places was not stable. Spoke to the manager, he said there was some problem going on. Also, in case you are fond of evening or late night walks, better be careful of fast moving bikers. No life guard at sea. Sea is rough so please take care. Lastly, better plan your return. Could not get Ola or Uber for our return. Hotel arranged the taxi. Ola charges just about 450 , other taxis you have to negotiate.

Opinion: Extremely great and comfortable stay and absolute value for money. Will certainly like to stay there again. Thanks team Sea Lagoon

Room Tip: First floor rooms on south side offer better view of sun rise and back water

We stayed her for two nights at the end of trip. It is a beautiful hotel with on one side the back waters coming right up to the swimming pool and then on the other side the beach. The rooms where spacious and the cleanliness was average. The food let this resort down a little which breakfast being quite poor. The seafood restaurant was something different. The fish we picked was very tasty but was also very very expensive which was a shame. Overall a lovely hotel to relax and unwind.

I had my first visit to this waterfront resort for the New Year Eve 2017 .It is a beatifully constructed resort with a spectaclar view of the back waters of Cochin suberb, though they have fresh water lake kissing their land yet the sea front is a few blocks away.
The rooms are so spacious and and guest friendly .The pool is so large and crystal clear.
The food served was a mix of Indian and global to satisfy the guest from across the glob,it was too good and tasty
The entertainment was overwherming and mind blowing .The fire works was exiting treat for my kids......
The hospitality of the crewmembers were so kind and friendly
Big applouse for the Resort manager Mr.Sandeep Pillai ...the man behind the beautiful show
Thank you every one for a great evening and amazing experience
Happy New Year....

We stayed in Sea Lagoon resort on 13th December and it turned out to be a truly pleasant experience. Some observations :
* The first thing that stands out is the people. The staff, right from the front desk to the bell boy are well trained, prompt and always smiling.
* It is nestled between a private beach and backwaters, which lends it a scenic view. Although, the private beach is nothing more than a strip of rocky area and some sand. For this reason, it's advisable to visit the actual beach which is just a walking distance from the resort.
* The infinity swimming pool is very well mantained with crystal clear water and can only be used with proper attire.
* One can also go boating on the backwaters with a self paddling boat which is available on a complimentary basis.
* The night we stayed there was no buffet and so we ordered a la carte North Indian food which was good. However, the breakfast buffet served was a little cold and could have been better.
* The grand heritage room we stayed in was very clean, beautifully furnished and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries.

Overall, the resort is highly recommended for those who wish to have a calm and relaxing stay with soothing ayurvedic massages, scenic views, good food and a dip in a clean swimming pool.
