“Just a room, no service!”

At Anna's rooms, you may not expect too much. You have a large room, but that's it. On the emails we asked to pick us up at the port. We were put in a taxi in the port and driven to Anna's Rooms where an old man waited, only talking Greek (a bit scary). The son who gave us a plan of Tinos of 2009, gave us his phone number and wasn't there anymore for the other days. We just needed to pay to the old man the evening before we left. The room was large, but not clean. The bath room is very very basic and do not expect that anyone cleans the bins. Do not expect breakfast either. You have to go to the supermarket and make all yourselves. The bed to sleep on was hard and terrible.
Tpo go to Tinos town, you need a walk on the road of 20 minutes at least.
We were really disappointed of this place!

On dutch sites, it is described as a good place, but what a terrible mistake we made by following these reviews. We were put in a taxi in the port and driven 2 km away from the center. An old man waited in the house, only talking Greek. A scary man. The man who we mailed with, wasn't there anymore for the other days and we had just to pay to the old man. The room was large, but not clean. The bed to sleep on, was horror. Two kilometers from the center is too long to walk in the evening and there is no walking path. We payed to much for this ugly old room without any service. Btw: Anna is not living here anymore!

“Extremely poor given the reviews”

We had booked the place for 4 nights but left after just one. These are the main issues we had and which hadn't been mentionned:
No drinking water
Local staff arrived late at port
Local staff provided misleading information about distance to town centre: actual was double, i.e. 20 minutes
Local staff spoke no Western European language
Local number did not work (as shown on website or at property) so it was impossible to contact anyone.

I am amazed at the negative comments about Anna's rooms. Anna and Ioannis are always extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you. We have stayed there twice and will certainly return next time we are island hopping.

Anna will pick you up at the port and drop you off when you leave. The rooms are clean and bright, and well equipped for Greece. I am surprised that someone claimed they were ripped off for bread as Anna refused to take anything for the bread she hung on our door in the morning. There is always coffee available at no charge and three times we have shared meals and wine with the hosts at their invitation.

I can only think that the negative reviews are from people with an axe to grind for some reason. I would recommend Anna's without hesitation, unless you are looking for a 5 star hoel, of course.

“Bad place to stay”

We were at this place for 3 days during our honeymoon (we were supposed to stay 5 days). First, the room was not clean, smealy and awful. We even found an old pair of underwear in the room. Second, she offered us a bread 3 times the cost of the same bread in town. Third, their answer was a NO to our demand to use Internet service at the hotel (like written in the Routard Guide !!!). Fourth, we felt not welcome every times we went at the reception. We do not recommend this hotel for any consideration.
