We had an adventure trying to find this place. There are no signs and the map they sent was not much use as apparently there are two Porvenir named roads in the area. We had several locals trying to help us find the place. None of them knew where it was. One young man took it upon himself to make sure that we found our way. He got his car and a local map and thought he could take us there. We followed and we got to the second Porvenir all right but still no luck. We said that we had a phone number and he called and spoke to the people at the hotel. We then drove around for quite some time with him talking to the hotel people. It was long past dark at this point. We drove around some more and eventually found it. We got frustrated and finally I spoke to the hotel person. And he said where are you your room is ready? Grr. When the young man finally got us there, our room that was supposed to be waiting and ready for us was freezing cold. The young lady told us to turn on the heater which was a little tiny portable one. Now to be fair once we found the place the room was very nicely done with a lovely shower. It had a beautiful view overlooking some vineyards and the whole area is lovely. I spoke to a gentleman the next morning he also asked how we had managed to find the place. They went through a similar experience and they were travelling with a Mexican native as well. It took us several hours in all to find this hotel. There is not a single sign anywhere even at the entrance to the property. I think that they may have opened before being fully ready. Even with the discount for our dissatisfaction we found it to be rather pricey for what we got. There are no facilities only rooms. Th young Mexican man and other locals who tried to help us are one of the main reasons we love Mexico but this casita left us with a poor taste in our mouths. Their staff also left something to be desired.
