We stayed here for three nights in mid-March, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left, the service was superb and friendly - nothing was too much effort.
Whether it was welcome drinks on arrival, helping book a restaurant, or proving directions and maps to tourist sites.

The room was a very decent size, with a view out onto the street. The bathroom also was very large.
Breakfast was simple but good, with a hot offering as well as a more continental style meat and cheese assortment.

Location was excellent, about five minute walk from Charles Bridge, and located just before you begin a steep walk up to the castle, so easy to get to.
There are also plenty of restaurants and bars close-by, if you don’t fancy the ten minute stroll to the centre.

The hotel itself, for only 8 rooms, was well equipped with a gym and a sauna.
One of the highlights however was the 5pm to 6pm daily free wine and cheese offering in the main restaurant / lounge area- including on the Saturday a pianist to accompany this.

All in all an excellent stay, and we’d definitely come back here next time we’re in Prague.

The Alchymist Prague Castle is amazing! Everyone on the staff speaks English fluently and goes above and beyond to take care of you. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The location is unbeatable. You are about 5 minutes from Charles Bridge in one direction, about 5 minutes from a Metro station in another, and Prague Castle and St. Vitus are about a 15/20 minute walk up the hill. Breakfast is included and you should not miss it. The hotel is small and so if you want a big place with its own restaurant and bar, this may not be for you. However, it is a fantastic value for the price. Finally, it is located on a small, quiet plaza in Mala Strana, so you avoid the noise that comes with the party groups staying elsewhere in Prague.

I have traveled all over on business and pleasure, and this is now one of if not my favorite hotels anywhere. You should stop looking around and book the Alchymist Prague Castle now.

When you walk in, you feel as if you arrived home. Lovely old place that is beautifully restored. Spacious rooms with all the necessary comforts. Hot pot for coffee or tea and fruits great you. Safe and good closet storage and a makeup mirror for us ladies. One possible problem: tub/shower combo is set up at least 4 inches from the floor so if you have mobility issues or short legs, getting in and out to shower can be a challenge- and no grab bars. Good linens and towels. Breakfast is sufficient with eggs and meats and fruit and cereals as well as coffee brewed each cup fresh. Wine and cheese in the evenings sometimes has the most wonderful pianist you must not miss. Great location where you can walk to nearly everything.

Took my partner here for a belated birthday gift. We've stayed in some pretty nice hotels before, but this one redefines what that even means - just incredible, from start to finish. The place is stunning, the breakfast right up there with the best, and - to top it off - they have a private spa area (jacuzzi, sauna, showers) that guests can just book for no extra cost (we did, twice!). Great location too, just a short walk from castle or old town centre.

What really made this place even more special, though, were all the small touches that showed how much effort really goes in. Arriving back from town to a couple of chocolates in our room, my (Italian) partner being greeted at breakfast in fluent Italian by the butler (Matthew), the complimentary drinks awaiting us in the spa - both our favourites, that we'd maybe mentioned in passing once... I could go on. This is the sort of place I'd expect to pay £1000+ for; as such, at less than £200 per night, this is astonishing value for what you get.

Should anyone from the hotel read this, a special thanks to Luca and Matthew, our butlers, who were unfailingly polite, friendly and helpful way beyond the call of duty. We'd love to return.

Such a wonderful hotel. Perfect location for all the sightseeing. Very romantic and with a lot of soul and personality building. The rooms were incredibly clean. Definitely will recommend to everyone.
