Prague’s answer to the Eiffel Tower not so good. The walk up is hard on the legs and the paths steep, you can take the fernicular but we walked. Areas being refurbished so some walks blocked. The tower itself waves in the wind and the walk up exposed so not for the faint hearted, gets overcrowded and claustrophobic in my opinion the view from the clock tower much better.

We went to ride the funicular to the top. It was a pleasant ride. I am sure that when everything is in bloom the place is beautiful but, even so, it was a nice walk around the grounds. The views to the city were awesome.

Some lovely walks going up the hill whether you coming from the bottom (near the memorial to the victims of communism) or like us if you coming from Prague Castle.

The views of the city are spectacular! Once on top you can take he funicular down (if you have a normal public transport prague pass it’s included)

We ate at a restaurant called restaurant Pertrin near the university. It was very cheap with authentic Czech food and cheap beer.

We took the cable car because we were in a rush but if you have time you should definitely walk (at least downhill). The view from the tower is amazing. Taking the elevator is only 50 czk. extra and I think it's worth it. The view is awesome, you can see the entire city, it's just amazing.

Walked from Ujezd to the tower, then up the 299 steps. Walking in the park was peaceful after the bustle of the crowds around the Castle and in the old town. We spotted a red squirrel, a green woodpecker, jays and a hare. Panoramic views of Prague from almost everywhere in the park. Tower cafe inexpensive- great ice cream . Wandering in the park in a happy but unstructured way took about 2 hours, it's easy to find your way around. Sat on a bench and people/dog watched for a bit- all varieties of human - and canine- life come into the park.
