Can’t praise the Hotel Residence Agnes enough. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived they offered us a drink and sat down with us in the reception/lounge area to talk us through what Prague has to offer and to give us their views on the best places to visit and eat. They offered to book restaurants for us (we took them up on this on the first night and went to the Blue Duckling) and even book concert tickets if we wanted. The hotel is very clean, has a wonderful ambience and is very tastefully decorated.
The room we had was very large with a king size bed and everything we needed was in the room. The bathroom was very good, clean, nice suite and a very good shower.
The breakfast they serve here is extremely good. As soon as we got down for breakfast the staff offered coffee and juice and then took the time to explain everything that was available from the buffet (cold meats, cheeses, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, eggs, bacon, sausages, waffles, pancakes and all the way to cakes and pastries!) and offered to cook fresh omelettes if we wanted. We ate a lot at breakfast which set us up for the day!
On the day of checkout, as our flight was late afternoon, the hotel looked after our luggage for us and arranged a taxi to take us to the airport.

The Hotel Residence Agnes is probably the nicest hotel I have stayed at in terms of quality of rooms, decor and service. The staff are extremely friendly and will do anything to make sure your stay is perfect.

I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to Prague and I will stay here again when we return to Prague.

We stayed at the Hotel Residence Agnes for 6 nights. It was our first visit to Prague and during our stay we celebrated our anniversary. Our flight was delayed due to Storm Dennis in the UK so we didn’t arrive in Prague until 11pm. That said, we still had a driver waiting for us to take us from the airport to the hotel (€33, but much better than waiting for a bus or trying to find a taxi!). On our arrival to the hotel we met Stefan, who provided us both with drinks and gave what must be the most helpful and comprehensive check-in we have ever had. He made us feel very welcome, talked us through the map of the city and recommended places to visit and places to go for food. He also said that their drivers were available to take us anywhere should we need a lift.

We were upgraded to room 203 which was a family room - a comfortable bed in a spacious room which also had a desk and a sofa. The bathroom was also very spacious. On arrival to our room Stefan had said that there was an anniversary gift; there were some beautiful roses in the room.

Breakfast was plentiful with fruit, cheeses, breads, bacon, sausages, eggs cooked in a variety of ways, pancakes, waffles and a selection of beautiful cakes and pastries.

Something that we hadn’t experienced before is the mini bar was included in the price - filled daily with water, soft drinks, juice and beer and some chocolate or peanuts.

Every time we walked in to the hotel we were offered drinks, and again this was included in the price.

The staff are so very helpful, offering to help plan our day, give lifts, reserve nearby restaurants... special thanks to all staff who we met during our stay. I can understand how some guests may find it too helpful at times, but for us as new visitors to Prague, their assistance was invaluable and gratefully received.

A highlight for us was the Jazz Boat as recommended by the hotel staff - a lovely way to spend an evening!

The hotel thoroughly deserves its ranking as #1 in Prague - as frequent travellers it has left a lasting impression, and we won’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
