Great location, very good meals for a decent price (on Thursday the dessert is included in the Menu). Service fast, pleasant, and sufficient, restaurant and toilets spotless clean. If you can, see the menu for the whole week and choose what you like. Some days they serve more modest meals than the others.

Make sure to have dinner here. Friends who live in Brno suggested The Water of Life. Tables in the garden are peaceful and the entire dining experience is excellent. Nuns affiliated with cathedral operate the restaurant. The service is relaxed, courteous, and professional. Food was very good. Appetizers and desserts were the best aspects. Wine selection was not expansive, but was adequate to over the wide variety if menu selections. The prices for food and drinks are excellent..
Staff sings beautifully in the garden at sundown.
Do not miss this opportunity to enjoy a real treat in Brno.

This restaurant is full of contradictions. It's connected to Christian Mission and I got an impression that the stuff there is full of immigrants. Waitresses speak French or little Czech, but no English. Menu is in English, Czech and French. Place was full of people and it's good we had an reservation, even though they didn't understand me and somehow didn't find our reservation. They also moved us (2 people) from table for 4 to table for 2. I have never experienced that before. Interiors are not the highlight of the restaurant, but meals were really good and nicely served.
In the middle of dinner we got a paper with lyrics on the table and we were informed that we will sing. I didn't mind that, but I was surprised. If you want to try something new, try this place.

No one can doubt the location or the fact that it's a good cause. Neither can anyone moan about the cost of the daily lunch or the drinks prices given it's central location. UK & US citizens will think this is cheap which it is for them, but not Czech wise. The food is pricey for Czech & the quality doesn't match. Cauliflower soup was bland, walnut & blue cheese salad tasty, but my lamb and my wife's pork were reheated and far from tender. Apple tart was part warm and in others cold due to a quick blast in the microwave. Those who claim best meal in Czech really do need to get out more. Simply much better & cheaper meals out there. So simply stick to the day menu and enjoy the location, anything else just may disappoint.

Hidden gem next to the cathedral. Very friendly staff. Day menu portions sufficient, and accidentally we ordered a 2nd dessert which was fabulous. Interesting to talk French in Brno! Beautiful garden and isolated from Brno city noise.
