I booked this hotel at short notice on Expedia because it was located between the airport and Krakow city centre which was excellent. A boutique hotel which has great understanding of what the customer wants when arriving for a one-night stay or longer.

Check in was simple, no large queues just Dzien Dobry and I have the key within two minutes and then I'm in my room. No complicated log on for the WIFI just select the router, enter the password and away you go, couldn't be simpler.

Room was lovely, very quiet with no noise whatsoever from heat / air conditioning unit, bathroom was spotless with plenty of towels, shampoo and soap etc. Shower cubicle was nearly as big as the bathroom with the shower head being full or power (Room 205).

The restaurant was the Pièce de résistance with the first, main and dessert being totally out of this world for both presentation and taste (pictures included in review). In terms of value for money both hotel and restaurant are very difficult to beat and I will most certainly stay at this hotel once again and recommend it 100% to other travelers.

Well done to the Hotel Kosciusko

A final note, don't worry about the casino, it is in cellar and totally separate to the remainder of the hotel but if you fancy a flutter it is free to gain access.

Room Tip: All I can say os room 205 was excellent

Small but beautiful hotel, style from 1860/1880, with details what will draw your attention. Food is good, personal is very helpful. Own parking on location easy to find and only 15 min from historical center,

Went to Krakow for the Christmas markets and found the hotel on line. Although the hotel is a little way out from the centre of the city the the bus and tram services are excellent. It is a short walk to the bus stop and a little further, about ten minutes to the tram station.

I chose this hotel for the trip in Krakow and surrounding areas. It is quiet close to the city center (not walking distance). People who like castles and the old classic style will love this place/ History is felt everywhere.
The room is not so big, but enough for a couple. It was clean and with all necessary facilities. In the basement is casino and there is restaurant, which offered really great breakfast. Parking was for free as well as wifi in the room.

OK, I will tell you first about the two negatives of Hotel Kosciuszko, and get them out of the way. It's location is a good 15-20 minute taxi ride from the old town, which means you have to add the cost of round trip taxis to your budget (or the cost of staying there). And taxi drivers often will only take cash, and are not crazy about large bills (by which I mean 50 zloty bills or larger).

The second thing I was not crazy about: the hotel has a casino in the basement, where people are allowed to smoke. This means that at pretty much every hour of the day, the cigarette smoke smell is everywhere, especially in the elevator. We could even smell it in our room, slightly.

Otherwise, a wonderful hotel. Our room was the French room, devoted to Kosciuszko's connection to France and how he was given the title of citizen after the Revolution. So the walls were French blue, and there were all sorts of framed prints on the walls connected to events from French history. There was a settee which my wife used for her place to lounge and read in the evenings, and a nice desk where I did computer things like planning the following day's itinerary. We ate dinner there a couple of nights, and enjoyed the excellent pierogis and goose with cranberries. Lovely.
