My wife and I at the tail end of a 3 week vacation through 4 cities found this restaurant to be the worst blend of food quality and pricing of any. In addition, we were highly suspicious of the drink sizes. Let's start with the food. It was very poor. It aped haute cuisine, but without any kind of "touch." Either a restaurant should pull it off or stay away from it. Further, my wife ordered beef stroganoff from the specialty board, which, one would assume, provides, at considerably higher prices, more quality and value. Wrong. Her dish was filled out with some odd kind of pickles, which she did not eat, and only three small pieces of beef. At the end, her plate, with the pickles remaining, revealed how much of it had been pickles--most of it. It should have been called Pickles Stroganoff. My dish, admittedly considerably less expensive, had some kind of mustardy sauce poured all over it, which resulted in an increasing burning sensation, rather than any kind of quality taste. We also strongly suspect that the drinks are short changed. We have typically ordered a Vermouth bianco and a 5 CL beer during our vacation and both of these were clearly smaller in size at this restaurant. Also, be forewarned that the side dishes (such as rice) are an extra charge. Despite its outside appearance as a pretty nice place, this restaurant, atypically, refused to accept a credit card as payment. Although we never asked beforehand, most restaurants with that kind of presentation routinely accept credit cards. Perhaps for a final touch of dismay, when my wife went to the bathroom, she glimpsed the chef smoking a cigarette as he worked with the food.
