Nice small hotel. Staff are friendly in an efficient manner. Breakfast was perfectly edible , room was spotless, bed was very comfy especially after walking around Budapest and up the steep hill back to the hotel . Shame the restaurant was closed but overall it was an enjoyable stay .

I have never had such a poor hotel.
It was advertised as having a "wine and dine"restaurant, which I particularly wanted because our expected time of arrival was too late to go out. We were told that it was closed for refurbishment, so had to go into the city centre to find food and drink.
It also advertised air conditioning, which was non existent, leaving us with a stifling hot room. Being on a busy main road it was too noisy to have the window open and sleep. The bed sheets were too small to tuck in so created a very uncomfortable rucked sleeping surface. These conditions meant that neither of us managed to sleep.
The tap in the bathroom was broken and only produced hot water, so we had to ask for water to clean our teeth and drink.
We were offered another room, but when my partner viewed it, found it even hotter than the one we were in so we stayed in the room.
The shower leaked leaving water all over the floor.
To cap it all we found the quality of the breakfast very poor and they ran out of bread rolls, the one thing we found to our taste, so on the last day we were left hungry.
All this in a 4 star hotel!!

Room Tip: My advice is not to chance going to this hotel

Dear Ramblingplomer,
We are very sorry to read your feedback.
Our restaurant is closed at this moment, but there are several resertaurant within 5 minutes walking distance from us. All kinds of drinks are served at the reception hall. Air conditioning means that the room can be cooled down during the hot summer period. We have Individually adjustable temperature controller in each room, where you can choose your temperature between Celsius 20 - 24. If somebody would like to reach temperature under 20, then the controller must be turned off. Our bedding fits to the standard European bedding, no smaller at all. You had drinkable water in your room. We understood that you expected ice called water and we provided it for you free of charge, but it does not mean that you cannot use your tap water for washing your teeth. We have 4-5 types of breads each morning, sorry you did not find your favorite one.
You were offered 2 rooms, one of them with garden view, but non of them were accepted.
I thank you for staying with us and I wish you to find your dream hotel.
Best Wishes,
Ms. Mariann Arany-Toth

Found this hotel offering a deal and thought we would give it a try. Room very good and exceptionally clean. All staff bar none were excellent especially Diana the waitress in the Italian restaurant who is worthy of a special mention for making our stay so memorable.
Thanks all and we will visit again.

Room Tip: Room at the rear would be best as Hotel on main road although road noise is ok.

It was a great experience, its classified as 4 star but from experience I would say a it's a great 3 star Hotel. I want to say for the price is was fantastic, breakfast included vast variety of goodies savoury and sweet, staff, very accommodating and helpful, it's on the Buda side but it is only 15 to 20 minute walk to central town or ( Chain Bridge) . You can use the bus which is 1 min from Hotel and 5 min. to town ,price very cheap, you can get ticket at Hotel, to be honest we never paid you just get on , driver is behind a glass and seems not interested... Hotel rooms very clean but tiny rooms, we were on the street side and yeah, you can hear some traffic but.....I slept very well. Near the Hotel close to the bus stop there's a great little tiny 24 hour grocery store... what more can you want? Prices relatively cheap, they have most everything from booze to cakes dairy, sanitary etc. Really Great! If you want to dine at the Hotel restaurant you will not be disappointed...guaranteed...Great Italian Chef Franco from Pesaro Italy.... Buon appetite! Free fast Internet too.

Initial concern over the traffic noise outside the hotel but fortunately our room was at the rear so it was quieter even though we had the windows open. My husband wouldn't ask reception to sort out the air con so I was roasting but the room was clean, simply furnished but perfectly adequate. The en suite too was clean and there was a bath and a (very low) shower attachment.
We decided to eat in the hotel on our first night and had a wonderful meal. My salmon was delicious and fell apart whilst my husband's traditional dish was also tasty and filling. The staff generally were very eager to please and spoke good English.
A nice walk down a very steep hill and over the bridge into Pest was an excellent way to work off some of the calories from the very substantial buffet breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear
