This little indian restaurant looks very unappealing from the outside but is quite okay on the inside (first floor). We were a bit worried about hygiene having read some of the bad reviews but it turned out to be fine. It is clean but it's true that you have to wash your clothes afterwards as their is no ventillation, you end up stinking of oil.

The menu consists of typical indian dishes, tikka massala, vindaloo, korma, etc..., with a selection of chicken, beef, lamb and some seafood.

We had papadum and vegetable samosas and a few different dips as starter and they were quite good. The mains even better, we had the tandoori chicken (specialty of the place, maybe a bit too dry) and lamb vindaloo. Both very spicy and tasty as they are supposed to be. We also tried the mango lassi which was thick and had good mango taste.

We paid 7,800 HUF with tips, a reasonable price.

The downside of the place is the service. While they are very friendly they mix up the orders (as written by other reviewers too). We ordered chicken samosa and got vegetable version and wanted beef vindaloo but ended up with lamb. We liked both so it was not a problem this time but more attention would be needed from the staff (they didn't write down our order just "remembered" them.)

Anyhow, we'll go back as the food tasted good and there are not so many good Indian restaurants in Bp.

Eating a proper Indian meal in a foreign land is always an experiment... Whether the food quality be good ? How will it taste ??

Well, we ate our lunch here on our 2 days trip to Budapest and it was good. We ordered Paneer Makhanwala, Dal makhni , roti and rice... All of it was tasty.

The staff was very friendly as well... The staff in this region of Europe isn't very friendly in all the restaurants..

The best Indian food in the city. Very tasty and nice service. It is also good for takeaways and orders, but watch out, as sometimes they make mistakes with the orders. Still, highly recommended.

My wife and I love Indian food. In Budapest, this is the best Indian restaurant for our taste. It is a casual place, good service moderate prices, and excellent food. Very good selection of Indian bread, I recently learned that kulcha type bread is difficult to make and some Indian restaurants do not even offer it. It needs a good chef to make it. They make them over here. The wine selection could be better. It is our favored in Budapest.

We went for indian food after doing traditional Hungarian meals for the last few days. The place is nothing short of finger licking good food.
Very small venue and tight seating but the good food and service make up for it. Very reasonable cost.
