This little indian restaurant looks very unappealing from the outside but is quite okay on the inside (first floor). We were a bit worried about hygiene having read some of the bad reviews but it turned out to be fine. It is clean but it's true that you have to wash your clothes afterwards as their is no ventillation, you end up stinking of oil.
The menu consists of typical indian dishes, tikka massala, vindaloo, korma, etc..., with a selection of chicken, beef, lamb and some seafood.
We had papadum and vegetable samosas and a few different dips as starter and they were quite good. The mains even better, we had the tandoori chicken (specialty of the place, maybe a bit too dry) and lamb vindaloo. Both very spicy and tasty as they are supposed to be. We also tried the mango lassi which was thick and had good mango taste.
We paid 7,800 HUF with tips, a reasonable price.
The downside of the place is the service. While they are very friendly they mix up the orders (as written by other reviewers too). We ordered chicken samosa and got vegetable version and wanted beef vindaloo but ended up with lamb. We liked both so it was not a problem this time but more attention would be needed from the staff (they didn't write down our order just "remembered" them.)
Anyhow, we'll go back as the food tasted good and there are not so many good Indian restaurants in Bp.
