A wonderfully grand hotel. The reception has a log fire and we were welcomed with drinks so our first impression was excellent. The rooms, while not huge, are clean, comfortable and tasteful - and there is a free minibar which is refilled every day (wine, beer, water and cola). We loved the breakfast - including the sparkling wine - and relaxing in leather armchairs in the whiskey room in the evening. Service was faultless and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a short walk from the old town which has many bars, cafes and restaurants - all at good prices. The bus tours around the town and beyond are worth the 10 euros and tell you a lot about Bratislava's history. Expect to pay 20 euros from the airport and if you're there for some time I would suggest getting the train to Vienna for the day (we paid 14 euros one way) although there is plenty to see in Bratislava. This hotel was superb in every way and we highly recommend it.

Marrol's Boutique Hotel is a lovely small hotel within easy walking distance from the old town area. It was a good value for the price, nicely appointed and served an excellent breakfast, which was included. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which we also enjoyed. Our room was comfortable and completely adequate. Reception staff were helpful and the welcome drink was very appreciated after our long drive.

Room Tip: All rooms seem satisfactory.

warm entrance with a glass of sparkling wine, very helpful staff. The room are nicely arranged and clean, breakfast buffet very good and if you want a good meal: this hotel offers an excellent restaurant. On top of the bill, the hotel is located at walking distance from the old city centre.
We really enjoyed our stay in Bratislava.

Stayed 1 night at Marrol's in Bratislava and wished it could have stayed longer! We were travelling between Prague and Vienna and had a very nice time in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and anxious to answer our questions about the city and make us feel at home. Our room was comfortable and every convenience was considered. The detail in the room, and especially the bathroom, was surprising. We are working on plans for a remodel at home and even took pictures of the bathroom for future reference. Breakfast was delicious and we appreciated the ability to get our own coffee for the table. Very comfortable hotel for weary/picky travellers!

Our only complaint - the lobby has a wood-burning fireplace in full use and the room was quite smoky. We are aware of the health risks from any smoke and this was very disappointing. It should have been a respite from the cigarette smoke-filled restaurants/bars/hotels/etc. of the rest of the city/anywhere in Europe. A gas log fireplace would be just as nice and much more green.

Room Tip: Request high floor away from the elevator.
