Definitely worth a visit, although how can you miss it! It stands out and can be seen for miles. A wonderful monument and its great to photograph. Worth seeing indeed.

It was here the demonstrators met_ which led to the final Liberation in 1990. The monument itself was made in 1935 and it is here foreign dignities place flowers

Riga citizens are proud of their green city - with parks. They are in all neighborhoods and its young families and elderly citizens to enjoy. We were there early October and the trees were still green, but flowers were planted and carefully tended in all of the. The Bivibas Boulevard has a number of parks but the one with the Freedom Monument is not to be missed. The statue of Freedom holds three stars representing three regions of Latvia, freedom achieved in 1990 from soviet occupation.

A beautiful monument in the heart of Riga, truly inspiring when you learn about the Soviet Occupation and lack of freedom during that era.
