We went in the morning, small parking lot, so get there early. Shelling is pretty good, depends on the tide and the time you go. clean beach, nice sand, it’s located near amenities so you can walk to other places, or park and walk if the lot is full

You must check the local tide charts, then head out early morning when the tide goes out. We went to the beach about 6:30 am with our bags and metal scooper on a pole. There was only another expert sheller on the beach at that time We found the best shells closer to the bridge underpass that connects Sanibel to a Captiva. This is a super area to watch dolphins play in the water at dusk! And if you stay all day- or come back later, you WILL see the best sunset ever in your life- it’s gorgeous!!!

This beach is very close to Bowman's Beach. Bowman's is on Sanibel Island and Turners Beach is on Captiva. Didn't expect such a nice beach since I didn't see it on any of my maps. Spent hours here, bending over collecting seashells with a number of other people. Not quite sure why thousands of shells, but possibly left over from the September hurricane. Many were broken, but if you sat down (on a towel!), you could dig a little and find some better shells. Pretty colored fish were swimming around our feet, and dolphins were swimming a ways out. Super nice people to talk to - locals and well as tourists. Visit Captiva! It's the five stars of islands!!! (Visited Dec 2017) Great that this beach had a bathroom, but you did have to pay to park.

Great beach day which included a beautiful beach, great shelling, and any amazing SUNSET!! Wasnt too busy as there is a small paid parking lot. Bathrooms are available in the lot. Also had a bonus of dolphins swimming out about 50yds off shore.

This beach is beautiful and clean. Great opportunity to view the awesome sunsets that are mesmerizing! The shelling is best at low tide. Pair the two together and what a fun way to end the day.
