Stopping to see a bridge sounds strange, but this is worth the time. Both for the bridge structure itself and the surrounding trees etc. We were heading to the UP and stopped by the park after crossing the bridge. We walked back across the bridge, crossed underneath, looked around and then walked back on the lake side, crossing under the bridge again to get back to our car. A pleasant walk, not to strenuous (we didn't go all the way down to the river - someone told us it was over 250 steps).
