Waited two months for the tour of a life time. Unfortunately while walking through security at the buildings entrance, a uniformed police officer took an adult guest of mine to burn her “make America great again” hat. So disrespectful to share his personal political views with a guest. The tour guide and Pentagon were amazing. Unfortunately due to his ignorance we truly didn’t enjoy our visit !!! God bless our soldiers n continue to make America great .

Thank Andrew G

We turned up too early for our tour but the lovely staff allowed us to enter before our allotted time and wait inside, in the warm! Mixed feelings really though about this place and what we saw of it. Tour felt a little rushed and we passed lots of displays that we would have liked to stop and look at but couldn't. Glad we did it but wasn't the best use of time.

We applied to the Department of Defense to do the tour of the Pentagon.
You should apply at least a couple of months before hand.
You will be required to provide details.
You will receive an email on if you can visit at a selected time.
The tours itself gives to an overview of the building, its people, the dynamics, 9/11, and it being a city within a city.
We spent time at the 9/11 internal memorial which really hit home the tragedy and got close to the impact.
The walls are covered in history from all areas within the building, it is like a museum but unfortunately you don't get the time to stop.
The tour lasts for about 45 to 55 minutes.

It was 1979, when my father decided to take me to work with him. The building was enormous. I would have thought there would be plenty of space for all the workers. But, my father's office was basically a closet overstuffed with about 20 Majors. The desks were literally on top of each other and there weren't any windows. I know the size and construction should have been impressive.

Having a family member in the military we got the VIP private tour but regardless, there is so much to learn about this unbelievable site. I didn't realize that within every corridor are historical displays loaded with historical facts, artwork, memorials. The September 11th chapel was so humbling. Every citizen should walk the halls. It's a world unto itself.
