Owner description: Emotionally stirring memorial pays tribute to the men and women who served in one of America's most controversial wars.

This memorial is a must see in DC. It's amazing that such a simple idea for a monument can have such a profound effect. Even though I didn't know anyone who was in the war, I was amazed to see so many names and all the artwork and pictures left by the family. Highly recommend, great experience.

Eye opening visit. Just wish tourists were respectful. Disheartening to watch kids running around and screaming

My husband's brother was killed in Viet Nam. My daughter and I were in DC and visited the wall. It was moving to see her honoring the uncle she never met at the wall.

while in Washington you must visit the Vietnam memorial it is very humbling. The way it starts with only a couple of names and increases to hundreds at the height of the conflict.
Give yourself a while to watch the people with young children explaining what the memorial is for.
It needs to be remembered.
