First time visiting the museum. From the outside it didn’t look that large, and so I thought it would be a quick tour through the museum. Well, I couldn’t have been more wrong. We spent 5 hours in the museum and still didn’t get to see all the exhibits as some were under renovation. Really enjoyed all the artifacts and how the exhibits were laid out. Told a great story from the beginning of aviation to today’s technological advances in avionics . The VR experience was great and was well worth the money! Overall a good experience and would recommend to anyone in the area as admission is free!

My family had one day in DC so we looked at all the museums and this is the one everybody chose. It was not as impressive as we’d all hoped for. First of all it was too crowded and that made it very difficult to be able to see a lot of the displays. Second the guards at the entrance door were rude and not very pleasant. They were rushing us away from the security screening and my daughter hadn’t even received her items yet from the X-ray scanner. I had to be a little loud back to them to get them to treat us better. Lastly, it was kind of boring for us.

Great museum, but a lot of it is closed right now for renovations. This makes the remaining exhibits very crowded.

Despite the oppressive crowds making it hard to see some of the exhibits, I would still say that this is a definite must do. The on going construction did not hamper our ability to see many wonderful exhibits

We were told the best way to see the museum was with a guide so we took their advice and waited the few minutes for the tour to start, probably the guide we had but we shouldn't have bothered. He spent that much time at the Wright Bros plane going on and on and on, and yes they may have been the fore runners of flight and their importance is really significant, but there were many others and just as significant planes that were barely mentioned. The tour was to have last 90 mins but after two HOURS we gave up the will to live and did the rest on our own, passing him on our way out stilling droning on. There are interesting facts and too many, his was definitely too many
