This is a great apartment that is conveniently located for accessing all that DC has to offer (The Capitol and beyond). It was the perfect size for us and was very clean, tastefully decorated with all modern conveniences. Kirk was extremely helpful and booking was easy and quick. It is situated in a lovely district, Eastern Market, with lots of restaurants and of course Eastern Market itself which is open until 1900 each day. Buy your food here or at the Organic store which is very close to the apartment. It was very easy to get to and from the airport; take the 5A metrobus ($6 per person) from stand 2E to Plaza L'Enfant Metro, take the Orange line 3 stops to Eastern Market ($2.70 off peak) and it is a very short walk from there to the apartment (it is also cheaper than the cost of the Washington Flyer + metro). In advance of going to DC I would recommend that you book tours of the Pentagon and the Capitol (online via their websites). They are free tours and really give you an insight into the US and it's defence. I would definitely stay at Eastern Market Suites again and recommend to friends and family.

We were so glad to have booked this place because at the end of the day of walking around and being tourists, we had a great clean, cool and calm place to stretch out, relax and get out of each other's hair. What a spot. Walk to great restaurants, walk to the metro, walk to the mall if you want. Parking really was not a problem also.

This recently restored RowHouse was an exceptional find, located in a safe area on Capitol Hill, steps from the Subway and minutes to the sights. Excellent interior design, HVAC perfect, spacious for two, well equipped kitchen. Kirk is an engaged and accommodating host, couldn't ask for more.
Master bed was only area that could use improving - a little too firm for us - but not a deal breaker - you're in good hands here!

We had the opportunity to stay at this lovely Victorian Brownstone 2 weeks ago. Although relatives tried to discourage us from staying in the Capitol Hill SE area, we opted to do so.
What a lucky choice. It is a well revitilized area.The location was excellant for using the Metro ( traveled to all tourist locations in less than 15 minutes) Can purchase discount metro farecards at Safeway ( 5 blocks from Victorian).
Restaurants galore 1 block from Victorian on 8th street. ( Modest to upscale - We tried a great Belguim- Belga Cafe' ) Excellant!
Kirk Beatley was very helpful and easy to do business with. The Victorian was very well equipped, with an upscale kitchen, large screen TV and every amenitiy that was needed.
Everything was fresh and up to date. Kirk and Lisa are very proud of the home that has been in the family for decades and rightfuly so.
As experienced travelers, we would highly recommend this location to couples or small families.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a 4 night stay on the top floor of this house. The apartment is tastefully decorated with a fully-equipped gorgeous kitchen. An organic grocery is a few minutes away. The metro stop is within a half block. Many restaurants and shops are nearby on 8th S E Street . Kirk, the landlord, was very prompt in answering my emails. He even picked us up at the train station when we arrived. My husband and I hope to stay here again. This apartment exceeded our expectations.
