This memorial is something everyone should see. It is much bigger in person. I was surprised by the pinkish stone it is carved from. There are several quotes around the perimeter. There is nothing quite like taking your photo next to his statue.

Another fantastic creation in terms of size, location and content. Vast in its space yet simple and powerful. Read the spoken words of such a leader. Recommended.

We happened to catch this monument on a backdrop of Cherry Blossoms. The monument was moving the back drop spectacular.

My wife and I visited the MLK Memorial during our recent trip to Washington, D.C., and we were quite impressed with it. Every American should take the time to visit this incredible tribute to the leader of the Civil Rights Movement.

it is cool the way this monument is craved and I think the way he looks like he is coming out of the stone represents his strength. Loved the quotes chosen. the location was as pretty as a postcard. We visited the gift store on site where we picked up our souvenirs of DC and some books.
