We went to the Wine tasting experience and just had the best time! Bruma is a boutique winery, where design is at the forefront and their wines have character! We really loved Diana’s explanation and passion for what she does. Lovely lovely experience! Will come back 100%! <3

Rating for Hotel first then Wine Garden later

For first time visitor it is very confusing and spread out. The management does not want to put a lot of signs but they are way short at this point. Maybe send a pdf map when you reserve a room.

Staff is very nice and helpful but of course outside of the lobby many are very limited in English. Be prepared and considerate.

Once you learn your way around after half a day it is OK and you understand the layout. If you are are in Casa Montana, expect to walk a bit. To the lobby it is about .3 miles. To the wine garden it is .6 miles. Mostly flat but a good sun hat is important and it is all rough dirt roads or paths.

Trip to a nearby restaurant cost us $120 US cash round trip by a car service arranged by the hotel. If you contact one in Ensenada yourself you can save 25% or so. They will come from there to here and wait while you taste or eat. Note I said cash is needed. USD are ok.

Only one local restaurant is in walking distance (1.1 mile). We did not have a car. I would suggest to get a driver to get you to Ensenada, then rent a car for the local area as an option. However note most roads except the main highway are not paved and slow driving. Make sure your GPS knows where you need to go before you leave. That is have someone local or the hotel review your route. Many restaurants are miles off main road and not easy to find.

Architecture works to fit into the natural grounds, very nicely done in a rustic theme.

Casa Montana review

Very nice buildings with common room staffed into the night. They make breakfast and snacks. Honor bar is well stocked.

Shower and bathroom is nice but the hot water takes a few minutes to arrive and the shower drain is not well vented , so you hear loud gurgles sometimes from the drain. No smell but noises.

Hot tub is in the shared area and next to a soaking pool. Hot tub is good temperature not too hot so you can soak. The pool is maybe 10 feet long with a nice seating setup. No swimming due to small size.

The walkways are dirt and it is raked everyday so they look nice.

Staff is very nice

Wine Garden review.

Good food at US prices.

We ate here 3 times. We were told the same master chef as Fauna.

Do try the octopus and shrimp pizza. Very good. Pita sourdough like crust and great flavor. Maybe 10 to 12 inch size.
Other pizza good as well
Guacamole plate is great. Every thing we had was great.
Good service as well.

Room tip: As the review said travel without a car is expensive and with a car is difficult. Bring lots of cash since the ATM is about 8 miles away.

"Dear customer,

Thank you for your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the architecture and the dining experiences at our Wine Garden, particularly the octopus and shrimp pizza!

We appreciate your insights about navigating our property. We understand that the layout can be confusing for first-time visitors, and we are actively considering ways to improve signage and communication. Your suggestion to provide a PDF map with reservations is excellent, and we are already working on such a map.

We’re also pleased to hear that you found our staff to be nice and helpful. We strive to provide excellent service, and your feedback will help us improve communication for all guests, especially those who may face language barriers.

Thank you for your comments regarding Casa Montana. We’re glad you enjoyed the common areas and the honor bar. We will address the hot water delay and shower drain noise with our maintenance team to enhance guest comfort.

We appreciate your recommendations on transportation and local dining options, as this will help future guests plan their visits more effectively.

Thank you once again for your thoughtful review. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future.

Best regards,

I don’t even want to tell you how lovely Bruma is but everyone has been so kind that we must share our exquisite experience. It’s a little confusing figuring out how to check in, (follow the signs to Casa 8 where Susan and Pierre will give you a tour and guide you to your room or suite. Casa Montaña offers magnificent views of the valley below and its eco-rustic lodging is FABULOUS! Four rooms share a great room with kitchen, living room, and lovely deck with sun loungers and a warm disappearing edge pool and spa. The always-pleasant ladies here are happy to serve and prepare delicious breakfasts from yogurt and fresh fruit to chilaquiles, omelets, your preferred egg preparation, bacon, muffins, etc… and if you’re hungry at any other time of day they will put together yum burritos, quesadillas, guacamole, et al. I wanted to take them home! (the ladies not the food.) Fauna, one of Valle’s finest restaurants is just a walkway from your room. This place is just a pure pleasure splurge.

Room tip: Book in Casa Montaña… and dress casually. Valle is quite dry and a bit dusty.

We had a lovely wine tasting at Bruma. We were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation. Carlos was a great host. We drank wine while touring the beautiful property and art in the facility. The wine is excellent and Carlos was very knowledgeable. Bruma is a must see in Valle de Guadalupe.

Room tip: Best to make a reservation for your tasting. And on the same property is Fauna a great restaurant too.
