So friendly workers, always helpful. Best rolls at the bakery. The gun fight was well staged. Fudge was wonderful. Will go again soon. Linda and Tom Muller

Really authentic old-west mining town feel. The shops were really great and their wares were not overpriced. The bakery has some really awesome offerings for any sweet tooth and excellent coffee. The shootout in the street was very entertaining. We didn't try it, but judging from the crowds the steakhouse must be pretty good. We really enjoyed shopping at the Siphon Draw Apothecary and the hot sauce shop. There's also a rather nice jewelry shop as well as an art gallery. The narrow gauge train that runs around the property is pretty cool as well.

Just a chance to try to get some money from ususpecting tourists. Not this tourist. If you want a real west town, go to Tombstone.

A family friend recommended this old Goldrush-Ghosttown to us when he learned we would be in Phoenix in spring break. It sounded hokey to me but my husband and kids wanted to try it out so we did. It’s located about 20-30 minutes outside of Phoenix, depending on where you’re staying and is near the Superstition Mountains. The day turned out to be a lot of fun and I wish we had left more time for exploring. I would give yourself 4-5 hours allowing time to eat at the Saloon, tour the Mystery Shack and the Mine, ride the train and stop in the shops. On weekends there are old time gunfight shows on Main Street but we went on a Monday and missed those. We didn’t tour either of the museums but that would have been interesting! We did eat at the Saloon- the food was mediocre but the music and view are worth it! The Mystery Shack was a highlight for the kids- I still don’t know what is going on in there and would love to know if someone else does! The Mine tour was also great- short enough for young kids but interesting still for adults. The town was a real mining town and not just a tourist trap. The whole thing was very cool and I would highly recommend giving it a try. You do have to pay for each attraction but they give you deals if you buy them in combination packages. For our family of five to do the three main attractions (Mystery Shack, Mine Tour and Train) it cost $81.

We wonder through Goldfield Ghost Town once a year. Nice way to spend a sunny afternoon looking in the small gift stores.
