Delicious pastrami on rye. The rye bread was absolutely fantastic. Service was ok. They are very generous with the meat on the sandwich - we shared and it was plenty! The potato salad was good, but not great. Would like to try breakfast next time we are in the area. :)

Our group of 5 guys (ROMEOs, for Retired Old Men Eating Out) meets here every Friday morning. Our table is usually the same, and Marci automatically brings us our coffee and bagel chips. We are such regulars that she knows what we will order, being creatures of habit. It's a well run deli with friendly staff, good endless coffee, and consistently good food. The menu is enormous, and for those on the fringe, boiled chicken in soup with matzo balls and noodles is available. The deli sandwiches are delicious and large in the New York deli tradition. There is no going hungry here.

Giant menu with lots to choose from.
It's no gourmet food.
Matza ball soup is pretty good. The sandwiches, too. Anything else, so-so.

I enjoyed a Sunday brunch at the deli. The omelet was prepared exactly the way it was ordered. The big surprise was the delicious corn muffin. The waitress suggested that I have it grilled and it made the entire meal!

This is the place in the neighborhood to go to if you are craving comfort food and a blast from the past setting. I find the prices over the top for very average food EXCEPT for their famous chicken salad. I skip eating in and instead order a pint along with a half dozen pieces of their crunchy to-die-for rye bread to go. Can't beat it!
