Stayed here for a couple nights in Feb 2018. Location is convenient right off highway and if you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of downtown, this is great value and if you like to get out for a hike or run, take a short drive to Malibu Creek State Park and Hotel is 30 mins to Malibu beach. As an SPG Platinum member, the club lounge is a great feature and breakfast is good.
My only issue is when we checked in, room had an overpowering smell of marijuana!! Someone had lit up a joint in bathroom and I was shocked the cleaning staff and quality control did let this room out..called front desk and was quickly moved to another room ..I sent note to general manager hoping for some additional compensation but he (Awad) ignored my note so I won’t be going back. That aside, if you’re looking for a well maintained hotel for a decent price close to the outdoors and hills, I’d recommend but as a platinum SPG member, remember to set your expectations as it’s not a Westin or Le Meridien !!

Seemed heartless. Is expensive for what you get to start. Then they charge $75 pet fee which is usually $10 or $20. Then charge $18 a night for parking which was way back in a very large lot. Our sink had something dumped in it like shards of something. We cleaned it out. Just not a relaxed friendly place for us.

Dear Jack V,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. As a pet friendly hotel, we do charge a pet fee that is actually lower than most comparable hotels. We are sorry that you did not feel relaxed during your stay. We hope your next visit will be a much better experience.

Lovely front desk staff. Clean rooms. Good location. Nice bar. Quiet at night. Have stayed several times and will again. New $14 parking fee, which is annoying since it’s standard outdoor, self parking—can’t miss a profit opportunity, I guess.

This Sheraton is quite larger than expected. The rooms are clean and satisfactory. The hallways are quite long. The Club room is on the top floor, but at the very end of the hallway. It does have a large lobby, restaurant & bar area. Pool in back is nice with plenty of large pool towels available.

We were upgraded to SPG floor and suite because of my husband's platinum status. The hotel rooms are rather old and dated. However they are clean. And the bed is comfortable. A very average Sheraton overall.
