We stayed for two nights. The Inn is centrally located, within easy walking distance of restaurants and activities. The room was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. Kathleen was a terrific host, and made our stay interesting and special, with her stories about the island and her family. She was very helpful, with suggestions of places to see, things to do, and restaurants. And the food! Breakfasts were delicious, with a variety of choices, including her homemade granola. Also, the appetizers and wine in the afternoon were an extra that was lovely. I would definitely stay here again!

The Inn was perfect. The location could not be better. Quiet. Cozy. Great room. What distinguishes this Inn from others on the island is Kathleen (and her crew). Kathleen answered every question, provided us with great stories about the island, and served a most delicious breakfast. The appetizers and wine in the afternoon were also much appreciated. She also recommended the Nature Conservancy jeep tour which was a highlight of our trip. And she made recommendations about restaurants and anything else we asked about. Five Stars!

5 friends and I visited for a ladies weekend and had the best time at the Old Turner Inn. Kathleen and her crew made it feel like home. The breakfast was so delicious and hearty that we skipped lunch both days. Everything is close by and within walking distance. The rooms were all very clean and tidy when we checked in. The Inn is right down the street from the Lobster Trap which is the best restaurant around next to Kathleen's breakfast in the morning. Kathleen also sets out her signature homemade granola for breakfast. I couldn't leave the island without it so I purchased an extra bag! This is the place to stay on Catalina. You won't be disappointed!

Had a great time in Catalina. The Inn was situated downtown with easy access to great shopping & restaurants . Kathleen was a wonderful host and the breakfast was spectacular.
Hoping to return again next year with more family.

My sister and I decided to head to Catalina Island for the weekend, to do some ghost sighting tours, go kayaking, and learn more about the casino's construction, but we left booking our hotel for the last minute.

When we arrived to the island, most of the hotels were already booked completely, with only a few undesirable scraps here and there. However, when researching through TripAdvisor, The Old Turner Inn appeared as a budget-conscious and traveler friendly destination. Each room is different and unique, so we really lucked out when Roger, one of the owners, placed us into his last remaining room, the Wicker Room.

Located at the end of a small corridor, away from the other guests' bedrooms, the Wicker Room sits on a quiet corner. The walls are painted a vibrant pink with a sturdy and firm mattress placed on the very comfortable bed. The ceiling fan gives a most delicious breeze, but with the weather on the island being near perfect everyday, this feature is a bonus. The living room downstairs is quaint, with a homely decor, and ample seating options.

Roger greeted us on our first morning and attended to us with a lovely breakfast spread at 9 AM. We got to meet another couple visiting for their second time at The Old Turner Inn, who told us how much they loved it. We concur, as first time bed and breakfast guests, this home is lovely and well-maintained.

To note, there is a new Vons being constructed across the street from the inn, which will be convenient for all future guests. Still, the inn is centrally located near downtown Avalon, close to all shops, restaurants, and activities.

To conclude, I would definitely recommend The Old Turner Inn, and during my future visit to Catalina Island, I plan on staying here again.

Room tip: The Wicker Room is spacious and private, away from other guests.
