Found this gem on trip advisor and called. They had a king bed room available.
It was clean, spacious and quiet. Even though it is on the highway, there was llittle night road noise.
Would stop again if travelling through.

The motel is clean and our rooms was in good shape. Beds and bath were very clean and in good condition. The rooms are motel standard type. But if you travel through this area or need just a place to sleep this is a good choice as down town hotels are very expensive.
Sundays it is difficult to get breakfast outside the motel as all is closed sunday mornings. We found "The Franklin Café" at the Gibson Inn which offers breakfast at sundays. Good choice.

On the road trip back from Madeira Beach we stopped to stay over in Apalachicola. We decided to stay at the Apalachicola Bay Inn, the place had been updated somewhat and was very clean. The staff was very friendly and we got a good night's rest .

This is an older hotel but extremely clean. Did not see any dust in our room which is unusual in a hotel. The check in area was very clean which is always a great sign to me on how the rooms are kept. The bed slept very well. Linens were fresh and clean. The owner goes out of his way to make your stay as perfect as possible. Wonderful hospitality! We will definitely stay her again!

Apalachicola's a great little town, but you pay an arm and a leg to be right downtown. This place is just a short drive out of town on the main drag, and the budget savings make it well worthwhile. It was worn but clean and comfortable.

If you want a nice quiet old south place to vacation with no stress, this is the place. The kind folks that manage & run this place are the owners so they really care about their customers. Friendly helpful people , nicely decorated, renovated rooms. Would definitely stay here again!! ☺️
