Comfortable and Convenient

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 7 Feb 2018
We stayed a week in the Attache Suite. Very well appointed, great location for walking the town and getting to restaurants. Two negatives: no maid service and very sketchy internet. Otherwise the Consulate Suites are a great choice, especially for people who are staying more than one or two nights. Fully equipped kitchen, laundry room are nice to have.

This place is gorgeous. I want to sell my home and buy this hotel room as my residence. People could not be more kind. Great place. Beautiful flight of stairs lead up to the second floor. Gorgeous view of the water too.

After staying at the same place for 5 years I am sorry that I did not discover the Consulate Suites sooner. The accommodations are very large, have everything you would ever want or need during your stay & each room has a fantastic balcony to enjoy. You not only have a convenient place to park your car but can walk to everything
We will definitely stay here during my husbands annual fishing trips.

An historic building restored into suites that are larger than most condos. Very comfortable, clean, great view of the river from our upstairs balcony. All the luxury extras of a good hotel. There was even a laundry room with private washer and dryer. The location is right in the middle of the Apalachicola historical area, close to restaurants, bars, shopping. The only issue is that being historical, there is no elevator. So if you book a room on the second floor, be advised that you will be using stairs.

Room tip: If you cannot handle stairs, get a room on the first floor, but the view from upstairs is great.

Stayed three nights while attending niece's wedding in the riverfront park across the street. Our one-bedroom suite was perfect for two with a spacious living room and kitchen plus outdoor balcony. Apalachicola is full of history and local color, all within easy walking distance, along with great dining options and interesting shops. Rooms are often used for extended stay and are not serviced daily unless requested.

Room tip: There are only four suites - 2 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom, and three have balconies.

This is a really beautiful place and a great location - we had coffee on the balcony and then strolled outside to the river...boats, fog, sunrise...just gorgeous. We were in the Port Captain room. The room was a little musty when we arrived, but this resolved quickly with an open door to the balcony and the ceiling fans on. We had an issue with missing sheets for the pullout couch - we called the emergency number at 10pm and Sherri helped us out immediately. I would stay here again!!!
